Meet the Founder and C.E.O

With a vision to revolutionize the eye care sector, it has been Dr. Condrada’s ambition to advance the current condition of the eye care industry in Tanzania. After more than 8 years of experience in the health and ophthalmology sector, she felt that there was a need for a well-organized and world class institution in the field of ophthalmology in Tanzania.

To fulfill this vision, Dr. Condrada Ngonyani established the Eyenova Specialized Eye Center. Her reputable Alma mater from the Shandong University and X’ian Jiaotong University from the P.R of China and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania both provided her the skills required for pursuing such an ambitious mission. She completed her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from the X’ian Jiaotong University (XJTU) in 2011 which is listed as National Double First-class Universities in Category A released in 2017 by the Ministry of Education. Thereafter, she finished a three years ophthalmology residency program that conferred her with a master’s degree in medicine (MMed in Opthalmology) at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences(MUHAS) in the year 2018.

Dr. Condrada served as the Head of ophthalmology department at the Amana Regional Referral Hospital. Her management experience there made her understand the exact needs of her eye care patients and led her into taking the initiative to establish her own eye care center in Tanzania. Previously, Dr Condrada also did private practices in the field of eye at various high-end facilities in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 2018 to 2023

Her vast experience lies in various fields including sectors like medical, management and education. She gathered her vast experience in the field of medical education during her medical degrees and residence at both XJTU and MUHAS. Her experience in the field of higher education spans over eleven (11) years in which she met a lot of patients and students who still remember the excellent service she provided them. Her philanthropic nature and entrepreneurial ambition led her to establish the Eyenova Specialized Clinic where she could continue to provide services to the community and carry on her legacy as a leader in the field of specialized eye care.
